Elastoplast Soft Gauze
Elastoplast Soft Gauze are home first-aid kit essentials and are recommended by the World Health Organisation and Red Cross. Elastoplast Soft Gauze is ideal for use immediately after an accident. Designed for cleansing and covering of medium to larger everyday wounds like scratches, cuts, grazes, burns and lacerations. The extra large 7.5cm X 7.5cm Soft Gauze comes packaged in a sterile pouch of two gauzees.
This gauze is not only ideal for treatment of an acute wound in an emergency, but also for sterile treatment after surgery. The gauze is suitable for use with wound antiseptics or wound healing ointments and creams.
The Elastoplast Soft Gauze can be folded or unfolded. Depending on the size of the wound – neat folded edges ensure that the gauze can be used opened up or unfolded without loose edge threads. A folded gauze can offer extra cushioning to smaller wounds.
Elastoplast Soft Gauze is highly absorbent and breathable. It’s suitable for sensitive skin and is manufactured in accordance with EN 14079 specification.

Cleanse
Cleansing the wound from dirt and bacteria is an essential first step to enable optimal healing. To prevent wound infections, spray the Hansaplast Wound Spray from a distance of approximately 10 cm onto the entire wound area. Repeat if necessary, then gently dry the wound and surrounding skin area with a sterile compress. It can also be used for chronic wounds and postoperative wound care as per your doctor’s instructions. The Hansaplast Wound Spray also helps to remove crusts or clotted dressings. Important: A minor wound will soon stop bleeding. If it continues, apply more gauze pads, keep pressure on the wound and seek medical advice.

Protect
Gently dry the wound with a sterile soft compress. Next, it’s important to protect the wound from external influences like dirt and bacteria to enable undisturbed healing. Apply the compress and fix it using Hansaplast Fixation tape, Wide Area Fixation, Elastic Fixation Bandage or Cohesive Bandage. Heal
Help your wound heal safely, quickly and with a lower risk of scarring. Apply Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment daily until your wound has healed completely. Carefully apply a thin film one to two times per day. Make sure the opening of the tube does not get in contact with your wound. Repeat regularly until the healing is completed. The Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment can be used on open minor superficial wounds and at any stage of the healing process. If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster, dressing or compress. If your wound is post-operative, please consider that step optionally and only when your wound is closed.
